Job Description

The Benefit Administrator II is key in administering employee benefits programs. This position is responsible for administering employee benefits programs focusing on ensuring compliance, improving processes, and providing advanced employee support. The role ensures compliance with relevant regulations and company policies while working closely with internal teams and external vendors. This role collaborates closely with the Benefit Leadership and other HR professionals to implement and manage various benefits plans that align with the organization's strategic goals. Key Objectives:
Monitor day-to-day operations of group benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits. Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations such as ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ERISA, and HIPAA. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter Provide advanced support to employees by resolving complex benefits-related issues and inquiries. Assist in the design, implementation, and communication of new benefits programs. Oversee, coordinate and process employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations while maintaining accurate records Conduct regular audits of benefits enrollments, invoices, and other related data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile benefit statements with payroll and vendor invoices. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group on benefits policies, procedures, and systems. Experience Requirements:
Consideration given to relevant experience and related certification. A valid driver's license may be required, along with a driving record that meets the requirements of the company's insurance provider. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, business administration, or related field required. 3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role, with increasing levels of responsibility. Professional certifications such as CEBS, PHR, or SHRM-CP are preferred. Consideration is given to relevant experience and related certification.
