Job Description

Hampton, Virginia Hiring Range $18.20 - $23.68/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview Provides a wide range of support to patients for the registration process to include financial counseling, verifying insurance, initiating authorizations, providing quotes, calculating and posting patient payments, and back-up registration support. Resolves patient issues, processes patient correspondence, and completes assigned work queues. What you will do Provides a wide range of support to patients for the registration process to include financial counseling, verifying insurance, and initiating authorizations. Provides back-up support for patient registration. Completes required documentation and attestations to secure coverage and funding for patients. Resolves patient complaints and questions. Researches patient accounts for balance issues. Processes insurance/patient correspondence within 24 hours of receipt. Completes assigned work queue corrections daily. Other duties as assigned. Cross trained to support two or more other areas within the department. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED, (Required) Bachelors Degree, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (Preferred) Experience 2 years Revenue Cycle experience (Required) Skills and Abilities Requires strong problem solving skills, high attention to detail and an aptitude for learning. Able to read and interpret Explanation of Benefit (EOB) and assist with questions. Requires knowledge of outside billing and collection vendors, along with financial policies to apply charity. Licenses and Certifications Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) - National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) (Preferred) CRCR - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) (Preferred) Revenue Cycle Certifications (CHAA or CRCR) within 1 Year (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers.
