Job Description

Payroll & Benefits Specialist About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist to oversee payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS functions for U.S. employees. This position will serve as the primary ADP expert , ensuring accurate payroll processing, employee data management, benefits administration, reporting, and HRIS functionality. The role works closely with HR, Finance, employees, and external benefit/payroll providers. Key Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees across U.S. locations using ADP Workforce Now Review time and attendance data, resolve payroll discrepancies, and process adjustments, manual checks, and off-cycle payrolls as needed Maintain accurate employee payroll, personnel, benefits, and HRIS records Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state payroll regulations and assist with required filings, audits, and reporting Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, open enrollment, and vendor billing Reconcile benefit invoices and resolve discrepancies with benefit providers and payroll Manage COBRA, workers' compensation, unemployment claims, and other related processes Serve as the ADP Workforce Now subject matter expert , including system administration, data maintenance, reporting, user access, and training Administer the time and attendance system, including schedules, accruals, and user support Run HRIS audits and reports to ensure data accuracy and compliance Identify and implement process improvements related to payroll, benefits, and HRIS Respond to employee and manager questions regarding payroll, benefits, and HR processes while maintaining confidentiality Assist with HR projects, reporting, compliance activities, and new hire orientation as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and 5-7 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work experience should include knowledge of basic human resources, payroll practices, benefits administration, and compliance or other related experience. Experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred Strong understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, and HRIS systems Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and compliance requirements Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong Excel and reporting skills preferred
