Job Description
Product Owner - Workday Compensation and Benefits Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 10+ years in HR Tech / Workday with deep Comp & Benefits expertise
- Strong understanding of Workday modules:
- Advanced Compensation
- Benefits Administration
- Experience working in product-based operating models
- Ability to balance strategy + hands-on execution
- Strong stakeholder management at executive levels Role Summary A senior, product-oriented leader responsible for shaping and delivering the Compensation & Benefits product ecosystem within Workday.
- Define and own the Comp & Benefits product vision and multi-year roadmap
- Translate business strategy into clear product outcomes, features, and priorities
- Lead prioritization using value-based frameworks (experience, efficiency, compliance) Domain Expertise & Advisory
- Act as a trusted advisor to Total Rewards leaders
- Provide deep expertise in:
- Compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity)
- Benefits design & administration
- Regulatory and compliance considerations
- Challenge and guide business stakeholders toward simplified, scalable processes Solution Design & Delivery
- Partner with solution engineers and architects to design scalable Workday configurations
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle (discovery → design → build → release)
- Lead prototyping and design thinking sessions Innovation & AI Enablement
- Identify opportunities for:
- AI-driven compensation insights (pay equity, recommendations)
- Benefits personalization and decision support
- Partner with platform teams to integrate AI, automation, and analytics Execution & Governance
- Own backlog, prioritization, and delivery alignment
- Ensure alignment with platform standards, data governance, and security
