Job Description

Director of Equity Administration & Compensation Our client, a global technology and manufacturing company, is seeking a Director of Equity Administration & Compensation to lead its equity administration function and support the design, governance, and execution of compensation programs.

Location:

San Jose, CA. This role is on-site five days per week. This highly visible role will partner with Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Payroll, Tax, and senior leadership to establish scalable processes, maintain strong controls, and deliver an effective employee experience. The ideal candidate brings deep equity administration expertise, strong cross-functional leadership skills, and experience building programs within a complex global organization.

Responsibilities:

Lead the administration of global equity and stock-based compensation programs, including grants, vesting, settlements, forfeitures, and employee participation activities Establish scalable equity administration policies, procedures, controls, and governance practices Manage the equity administration platform and maintain accurate participant, award, vesting, ownership, and transaction data Partner with Human Resources and senior leadership on annual awards, new-hire grants, executive compensation, and other compensation initiatives Coordinate with Legal on plan governance, required approvals, documentation, and applicable securities requirements Partner with Finance and Technical Accounting on equity compensation accounting, valuations, disclosures, reconciliations, and financial reporting Coordinate with Payroll and Tax on withholding, reporting, employee mobility, and multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements Develop internal controls and audit-ready processes supporting equity administration and related financial reporting Manage relationships with equity platform providers, brokers, valuation specialists, and other external service providers Develop reporting and analytics for senior leadership while providing education and support to equity program participants

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Human Resources, or a related field 10+ years of experience in equity administration, stock plan administration, compensation, or a related function Significant experience administering complex equity programs across a global or multi-jurisdictional organization Strong knowledge of equity-based compensation arrangements, related financial reporting, internal controls, and data governance Proven ability to partner effectively with Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Payroll, Tax, and senior leadership; professional equity certification preferred
