Reports directly to Deputy Director & Director, Programs and Participant Services Overall Description Summary The Rural Business Support Center Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations and delivery of Business Support Services to Regional Rural Businesses. Specific Duties/Responsibilities Teaches Career Readiness (Essential Skills) for existing employees of employers engaged in the proposed project. Contact and Recruit Employers that are in need of Business Support services Assisting Businesses with a menu of Business Support services that will allow stability and growth for each business. Develop and maintain regular contact with Employers and educational institutions, faith based and community- based organizations and public organizations/officials and community leaders. Counsels and access individuals desiring to start a new business and assisting them with resources needed Coordinates and connects Consultants services with needs of employers Identifies areas of need and support for small businesses Provides weekly/monthly progress to and Deputy Director & Director, Programs/Participant Services And Executive Director Prepares and maintains statistical data of all businesses/individuals being assisted. Attends and participates in weekly staff meeting as requested Attends meetings, conferences and functions that will benefit the NOVA organization, participants or employees All other related duties as deemed necessary by Deputy Director & Director, Programs/Participant Services or Executive Director Minimum Skill Set Required Public Speaking Interact with General Public Strong Verbal and Written Skills Organizational Skills Self-Motivation/ Self Starter/ Performance Driven Able to Work with diverse population
