Job Description
The Assistant Deli Manager is a key leadership role, responsible for supporting the Deli Manager in all aspects of deli operations. This position requires a strong focus on food services, sales, and customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and supervisory skills, demonstrating a commitment to food safety and sanitation, and the ability to effectively manage inventory and drive sales. This role demands a detail-oriented individual with strong leadership qualities, capable of multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced restaurant operation. Assist in the daily operation of the deli, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Supervise and train deli staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee food preparation, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues effectively. Assist in sales initiatives, contributing to the achievement of sales targets. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the deli, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. Utilize computer literacy. Demonstrate problem-solving abilities to address operational challenges. Working knowledge of food services operation. Demonstrated supervisory experience. Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Valid Driver's License. General knowledge of inventory management principles. Ability to multitask effectively. Experience in a deli or similar food service environment. Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
