Description:
Cosentino's Price Chopper #104 in Blue Springs, MO, is seeking a highly motivated Bakery Manager-In-Training. This full-time, hourly position offers excellent benefits and paid training. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a passion for the bakery industry. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring the bakery operates efficiently and profitably. The Bakery Manager-In-Training is expected to learn all aspects of bakery operations, including sales, merchandising, and loss prevention, while upholding the highest ethical standards. Must be willing to work any shifts starting as early as 6am until 10pm including weekends and holidays. The ability to travel to other locations required. Additional skills such as baking and cake decorating would be helpful however we will train.
Responsibilities:
Learn and apply effective management techniques to oversee bakery operations. Demonstrate accountability for all aspects of the bakery's performance, including sales, labor, and product quality. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Effectively utilize communication skills to train and coach team members. Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize waste and protect company assets. Oversee •sales•and merchandising activities to maximize product visibility and drive sales. Maintain inventory control by accurately tracking product levels and ordering supplies. Demonstrate leadership by motivating and guiding the bakery team. Apply problem solving skills to address operational challenges and improve efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Working knowledge of retail sales principles. General knowledge of bakery operations and product knowledge. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated honesty and integrity. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. Excellent detail-oriented skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in a bakery environment. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven ability to work effectively in a teamwork environment. Experience with coaching and training employees.
