Job Description
Little Ponderosa is a new early childhood center opening in Santa Fe. We are looking for an experienced Child Care Director to lead our team and help build an exceptional program. The right candidate will have strong experience managing a licensed childcare center, supervising teachers, maintaining licensing compliance, and working with families. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day center operations Recruit, train, schedule, and support staff Maintain licensing, safety, and ratio requirements Oversee enrollment and parent communication Help guide the center toward FOCUS 5-Star and/or national accreditation Qualifications Prior childcare leadership experience required Director, Assistant Director, Program Director, or similar experience strongly preferred Strong leadership and organizational skills Must meet New Mexico director qualification requirements Experience with FOCUS, Head Start/Early Head Start, CCA, or national accreditation is a plus. We are looking for someone warm, capable, organized, and experienced who wants to help build a great school and a great workplace for teachers.
