Essential Functions Leads the organization's total rewards strategy, overseeing compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, physician/provider compensation, market pricing, salary surveys, and pay equity initiatives to ensure competitive and equitable practices.
Directs the design and administration of employee benefits programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefits; manages plan design, vendor relationships, renewals, negotiations, and open enrollment.
Partners with HR, Finance, Medical Staff, and senior leadership to develop total rewards strategy, annual budgets and forecasts, monitor program costs, evaluate market trends, and advise on compensation and benefits decisions that support recruitment and retention.
Ensures compliance and operational excellence across compensation, benefits, leave, and audit programs, including applicable federal and state regulations; oversees HRIS functionality, data integrity, reporting, and coordination with payroll.
Leads communication and engagement efforts by developing and delivering education for leaders and employees on total rewards programs, policies, and offerings.
Leads and develops the Total Rewards team while managing relationships with consultants, brokers, and vendors to ensure effective, high-quality, and cost-efficient service delivery.
Requirements Required:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
required
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits, with at
least three (3) years in a leadership role; healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of compensation methodologies, market pricing, job evaluation
systems, job architecture, and benefits plan design and administration.
Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, ACA,
ERISA, and COBRA.
Strong analytical, project management, and vendor management skills, with the ability to
translate data into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and people skills, with
demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization.
Preferred:
Master's degree
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), SHRM-SCP, or SPHR certification.
Experience designing or administering self-funded insurance plans preferred.
Demonstrated experience with progressive benefit design and administration preferred.
Experience with HRIS/total rewards platforms and compensation management software.
