Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Director, Large Deductible for a top insurance industry client. This candidate will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for building, leading, and optimizing a large deductible workers' compensation program. The role will oversee the full program lifecycle, including underwriting strategy, loss fund administration, collateral management, financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. This individual will drive profitability, influence executive stakeholders, strengthen broker and client relationships, and implement best practices across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing workers' compensation insurance organization while helping shape the future direction of its large deductible program. Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of progressive workers' compensation experience
  • Significant experience managing Large Deductible (LD) insurance programs
  • Deep understanding of:o Large deductible program structureso Loss fund mechanicso Collateral administrationo Aggregate stop-loss arrangements
  • Multi-state workers' compensation regulatory expertise
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Experience with loss projections, reserve adequacy, and profitability analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, build processes, solve complex problems, and drive results
  • Experience collaborating with Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Legal, and Operations teams
  • MBA, MPA, CPCU, ARM, ARe, CPA, or related professional designation
  • Leadership and/or people management experience
  • Experience with captive insurance programs
  • Experience working with fronting carriers
  • Knowledge of reinsurance structures, quota share, and excess of loss treaties
