Job Description

Job Description Manages the daily operations and processes related to the evaluation of physician compensation arrangements and ensures compliance with fair market value and commercial reasonableness standards. Leads a team of analysts and collaborates with various stakeholders to achieve departmental objectives. Serves as a subject matter expert in the physician compensation space. Ensures timely and accurate responses to routine requests and provides critical analysis and consultative support to Business Development, clinical and executive leaders, and other key stakeholders throughout the health system. Job Responsibility Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance to the Physician Compensation team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for departmental goals in alignment with the health system's objectives. Reviews business plans and requisitions related to physician employment arrangements, providing input and analysis. Selects, develops, and evaluates direct reports, fostering their professional growth. Builds and maintains productive intra-departmental and inter-departmental work relationships to optimize operations. Manages operational resources including departmental budget, supplies, equipment, space, staff, and information. Exercises independent judgment within specific guidelines and procedures to make decisions regarding moderately complex issues within the physician compensation domain. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Job Qualification Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience. 2-3 years of relevant technical experience in physician compensation or a related field. 3-4 years of leadership and management experience, preferably in a healthcare or compensation setting.
