Employee Benefits Broker JTM Carey Insurance & Financial Group Orlando, FL Job Details Full-time | Contract $60,000 - $125,000 a year 17 hours ago Benefits Work from home Flexible schedule Qualifications Lead Tracking Full Job Description Employee Benefits Broker JTM Carey Insurance & Financial Group Position Overview JTM Carey Insurance & Financial Group is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Employee Benefits Broker to help grow our Employee Benefits division. This is a 1099, business development and sales-focused opportunity for someone who enjoys prospecting, developing strategic partnerships, opening doors, and building long-term relationships with business owners and professional partners.
The primary objective is simple:
create opportunities, build partnerships, and grow a recurring book of employee benefits business. What We Offer- Competitive commission structure with residual income

Key Responsibilities Business Development & Prospecting
- Identify and prospect businesses that may benefit from a review of their employee benefits strategy.
- Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified employer opportunities.
- Conduct outbound prospecting through phone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and in-person outreach.
- Develop relationships with business owners, CFOs, HR leaders, controllers, and other key decision-makers.
- Identify upcoming health insurance renewals and create opportunities to compete for the business.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand an employer's current benefits program, challenges, costs, and goals.
- Consistently follow up with prospects and move opportunities through the sales process. Strategic Partnerships A major focus of this role will be developing relationships with professionals who regularly work with business owners, including:
- Payroll professionals
- CPAs and accounting firms
- Financial advisors and wealth management firms
- P&C insurance agencies and commercial brokers
- HR consultants
- PEO professionals
- Business attorneys
- Banks and commercial lenders
- Chambers of Commerce, BNI groups, and other business organizations The Employee Benefits Broker will actively identify, develop, and maintain these relationships with the goal of creating consistent, mutually beneficial referral opportunities. Employee Benefits Consulting
- Work with employers to evaluate their current employee benefits program.
- Help employers understand fully insured, level-funded, and alternative benefit strategies when appropriate.
- Work alongside JTM Carey leadership to develop strategies for prospective clients.
- Leverage the agency's carrier and vendor relationships to develop competitive benefit solutions.
- Present recommendations and help guide employers through the decision-making process.
- Coordinate with agency resources to ensure a smooth transition from prospect to client. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is:
- Hold a active 2-15 License
- Comfortable prospecting and initiating new relationships
- Competitive, entrepreneurial, and self-motivated
- Confident speaking with business owners and executives
- Able to develop centers of influence and referral partnerships
- Comfortable attending networking events and becoming involved in the business community
- Organized and disciplined with pipeline management and follow-up
- Interested in building a long-term recurring book of business
- Coachable and willing to collaborate with agency leadership on sales and case strategy
