This role is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and administration of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentives, and job architecture. The Sr Manager, Compensation partners with HR and business leaders to ensure pay practices are competitive, equitable, and compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Guides conversations on how the business' compensation programs can drive and support it's short and long-term success. Manage short and long-term compensation projects.JOB DESCRIPTION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing administration of compensation programs, including base pay structures, short- and long-term incentive plans, and job leveling frameworks.
- Partner with HR business partners and business leaders to evaluate and price new and existing positions, ensuring internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- Manage annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, promotions, and bonus calculations.
- Provides thought leadership in the ongoing assessment of compensation programs and offerings to ensure they are both meeting business needs and are current with marketplace best practices.
- Ensure compensation programs and pay decisions comply with federal, state, and local wage and hour, pay equity, and FLSA regulations.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, job codes, and FLSA classifications in partnership with HR business partners and legal.
- Advise and train HR and people leaders on compensation philosophy, policies, and pay practices.
- Manage and mentor compensation analysts, overseeing workflow, project timelines, and quality of deliverables.
BASIC KNOWLEDGE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of compensation principles, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing practices.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and advise senior leaders.
- Knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, pay equity regulations, and FLSA classification standards.
- Ability to build and manage strong stakeholder relationships across HR, Finance, and business leadership.
SPECIALIZED SKILLS
- Advanced Excel modeling skills and experience with compensation survey and benchmarking tools (e.g., WTW, Mercer, Radford).
- Experience with HRIS and compensation management platforms (e.g., Workday, Workday Advanced Compensation, Payscale, PayFactors).
- Experience designing incentive, bonus, or sales compensation programs, preferred.
TRAVEL / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Team members work in an office or remote work environment. No special physical demands are required.
- Rare or occasional travel may be required to attend business meetings, training programs, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
- Job demands may require long periods of sitting #LI-BB1 #LI-Remote The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $150,000 USD Annually.
Additional Compensation:
Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including business requirements, prior experience, current skills and geographical location.Corporate Positions:
In addition to the base salary, this role may be eligible to participate in a quarterly or annual bonus program based on individual and company performance.Onsite Property Positions:
