Job Description

Position Overview Labels on Demand is scaling high-speed digital label manufacturing (zero minimums, zero plate fees, 3D texture gloss) at our new facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee. We are hiring an execution-focused Supply Chain Manager to own end-to-end procurement, material planning, inventory integrity, and logistics. This role bridges the gap between production scheduling and financial performance. You will eliminate our historical inventory timing mismatch, optimize cash flow, guarantee raw material availability for our anchor clients, and build an agile, perpetual inventory system from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement & Vendor Negotiation:
Source, vet, and manage tier-one suppliers for pressure-sensitive substrates (BOPP, PET, papers), specialty laminates, UV/digital inks, tooling, and freight carriers. Negotiate aggressive volume pricing, payment terms, and holding-stock agreements to maximize operating cash flow.
Perpetual Inventory Control & COGS Stabilization:
Replace bulk-purchase speculative stocking with an active, real-time perpetual inventory system. Track physical rolls, master rolls, and consumable click-rates to match material consumption directly to real-time production runs, eliminating monthly COGS percentage volatility.
Anchor Client & On-Demand Capacity Planning:
Partner with operations to forecast raw material demand. Ensure dedicated safety stock for RAW Sport/RAW Nutrition to guarantee zero stockouts, while maintaining agile buffers for high-turnaround "rapid-queue" short-run orders.
Logistics & Freight Management:
Oversee inbound freight logistics and outbound shipping operations. Audit freight carriers, optimize parcel/LTL shipping lanes, establish discounted rate structures, and ensure on-time delivery across domestic customer networks.
Material Yield & Scrap Reduction:
Collaborate with shop-floor production leads to monitor roll scrap, setup waste, and shelf-life degradation. Implement strict raw material lot-tracking and FIFO staging protocols inside our climate-controlled warehouse.
ERP Implementation & Process Optimization:
Establish data governance within our ERP/MIS platform. Automate purchase order triggers, safety stock thresholds, and live inventory reconciliations.
Required Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3 to 5+ years of hands-on supply chain, procurement, and inventory management experience. Prior experience in printing, converting, packaging, or fast-turn continuous manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Inventory & Cost Accounting Acumen:
Proven track record in solving inventory timing mismatches, rolling out perpetual inventory frameworks, and optimizing Working Capital/Cash Conversion Cycles.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced Excel/data modeling skills (pivot tables, dynamic forecasting, consumption models) and hands-on experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., EFI, PrintVia, NetSuite, or similar manufacturing systems).
Vendor & Contract Management:
Demonstrated negotiation success securing favorable freight rates, raw substrate contracts, and supplier service-level agreements (SLAs). Communication & Bias for
