Job Description

Serious Pie, a pizzeria with a bread baker s soul, serves up pies with blistered crusts, light textured but with just enough structure and bite. Our attentiveness to each pizza in the 600-degree stone-encased apple wood burning oven preserves the character of house made charcuterie and artisan cheeses from around the world. We are hiring a General Manager with a knowledge and passion for food at our Totem Lake location!

The General Manager leads all aspects of Serious Pie Totem Lake s service needs in support of our company-wide mission of offering deliciousness served with graciousness in all that we do. This position is responsible for the overall guest experience in alignment with company expectations, promotion of the restaurant to exceed profits and people expectations, participating in the service of food and drinks while engaging positively with our guests and community, supervision of the service staff, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or assigned management of which employee can perform. Responsible for aligning their business with the mission and values of TD and Co. and the vision of their assigned property.

Embraces the spirit of learning and sharing of knowledge with staff and guests.

Supervises the day-to-day activities of service staff, assigns responsibilities for work, and sets deadlines to ensure the timely completion of work.

Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to executive team, preparing and completing action plans, implementing production, productivity, quality and customer service standards, resolving customer service problems, identifying trends and making course corrections/suggestions, determining system improvements, and implementing change.

Meets or exceeds restaurant financial objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions when necessary.

Responsible for bar menu planning, inventory, ordering (both internal and external), and managing food and other supplies in order to ensure service is offered effortlessly while maintaining effective cost controls and quality standards.

Works in tandem with the Chef and back-of-house staff to ensure seamless, gracious, and efficient service to our guests.
Knowledge:
Requires 5 to 7 years experience with restaurant operations and staff supervision.

Must be certified in ServSafe Management certification course, as well as hold a current Washington State food handler card and Washington State Mixologist license; must maintain CPR/First Aid certification.

Proficient in the following: food planning and preparation, purchasing, sanitation, security, company policies and procedures, personnel management, recordkeeping, and the preparation of reports.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Possess strong math skills and have the ability to operate a POS system and cash register, preferably Toast POS.Sound like your kind of place? Learn more and apply today!
