We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead, develop, and expand our sales organization from our Appleton office. This is primarily a sales manager and team-development role , not an individual-contributor position. The Sales Manager will be responsible for improving team performance, developing salespeople, expanding into new markets, and building a disciplined, scalable sales organization that drives profitable growth. Lead the recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and development of new salespeople, including the planned addition of approximately 5-10 new representatives as the company expands. Help determine new territories, market-entry strategies, sales-team structure, and where additional sales resources should be deployed. Support salespeople on major opportunities while allowing representatives to maintain ownership of their customer relationships. Review sales incentives and compensation structures and recommend improvements that support performance, retention, and profitable growth. Personally originate and sell opportunities when appropriate, while keeping sales leadership, coaching, and team development as the primary focus . Dark Horse expects its sales organization to grow significantly over the next several years. This position will have substantial influence over how the team is built, structured, managed, and expanded into new markets. As the organization grows, additional sales-management positions may be added to maintain effective leadership and coaching. Qualifications 8+ years of B2B sales experience , with meaningful experience leading and developing salespeople. Proven experience managing a sales team and improving individual and team performance. Experience recruiting, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing sales talent. Demonstrated ability to hold salespeople accountable and effectively address underperformance.
