Marketing & Human Resources Coordinator Cooks Building Supply - Decatur, AL Build a Brand. Build a Team. Build a Company. Cooks Building Supply is a growing, family-owned building materials and rebar fabrication company serving North Alabama and Southern Tennessee. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a highly organized, creative, and driven Marketing & Human Resources Coordinator who can help strengthen our brand, attract top talent, and support our employees. Position Summary The Marketing & HR Coordinator is responsible for leading the company's marketing efforts while supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR administration. This position plays a key role in helping Cooks Building Supply continue to grow by attracting both customers and exceptional employees. Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Brand Management Manage and grow the company's social media presence (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) Create engaging content including photos, videos, graphics, and promotional campaigns Coordinate professional photography and video shoots Maintain and update the company website Assist with SEO, Google Business Profile, and online reputation management Design flyers, brochures, advertisements, and promotional materials Develop email marketing campaigns and customer newsletters Coordinate trade shows, community events, sponsorships, and company promotions Track marketing metrics and provide monthly performance reports Work closely with sales and leadership to promote products, services, and company initiatives Recruiting & Talent Acquisition Create and manage job postings across hiring platforms Screen resumes and coordinate interviews Assist department managers with hiring activities Communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process Coordinate background checks, drug screens, and new hire paperwork Help develop recruiting strategies to attract high-quality employees Human Resources Coordinate employee onboarding and orientation Maintain employee files and HR documentation Assist with benefits administration and enrollment Help administer company policies and employee handbook updates Coordinate employee recognition programs and company events Support performance review and training initiatives Maintain confidentiality of employee information Assist leadership with HR projects and compliance requirements Administrative Support Support company leadership with special projects Coordinate company communications and announcements Assist with office organization and process improvements Maintain marketing assets and company branding standards QualificationsRequired 2+ years of experience in marketing, human resources, recruiting, or office administration Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Professional, positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills Preferred Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software Experience managing business social media accounts Knowledge of Facebook and Google advertising Experience using HRIS or applicant tracking systems Photography and video editing experience Experience in construction, manufacturing, or building materials industries What Success Looks Like Within the first year, this individual will: Build a consistent and professional marketing presence across all platforms Improve recruiting efficiency and reduce hiring timelines Enhance employee onboarding and engagement Increase brand awareness throughout our service area Support leadership with organized HR processes and documentation Help establish Cooks Building Supply as an employer of choice in North Alabama Why Join Cooks Building Supply?
