We are seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented HR Generalist / Payroll Clerk to join our administrative team. This position supports the day-to-day human resources functions of the facility while ensuring payroll information is accurate, timely, and properly maintained. The ideal candidate is approachable, professional, highly organized, able to maintain confidentiality, and comfortable balancing employee needs with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new employees. Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records. Process new hires, employee status changes, transfers, promotions, and separations. Coordinate new-hire paperwork, orientation requirements, and employment documentation. Assist employees with questions regarding policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, and other employment-related matters. Assist supervisors and department managers with attendance, performance, corrective action, and other employee-related documentation. Review and process employee timekeeping information for payroll. Verify hours worked, overtime, paid time off, differentials, deductions, and other payroll-related information. Identify and resolve missing punches, timekeeping discrepancies, and payroll errors prior to payroll processing. Enter and maintain employee payroll information accurately. Process payroll-related changes, including pay rate changes, deductions, direct deposit information, and other authorized adjustments. Coordinate with supervisors and employees to resolve payroll and timekeeping questions. Ensure payroll information is processed accurately and within established deadlines.Qualifications:
Previous experience in Human Resources, payroll, or a related administrative position preferred. Working knowledge of basic HR practices, payroll processes, and employment documentation, preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet established deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and approachable when working with employees at all levels of the organization. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with department managers and facility leadership. Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) What we're looking for: We are looking for someone who understands that Human Resources is both people-focused and detail-driven.
