OVERVIEW
Supervise staff responsible for various Human Resource administration processes and procedures to ensure functions are executed efficiently, including the preparation and maintaining of employee personnel files, records/information and non-exempt recruitment and selection processes and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Select, train and supervise a staff of employees performing various HR administration processes and procedures
Ensure compliance with federal & state law as well as FedEx Freight policy concerning employment, selection and recruitment
Recommend new approaches to improve department efficiency, services performed, track measurements and develop reports including data entry error tracking, corrections, noncompliance tracking
Collaborate with management in the development and maintenance of Human Resources policies and procedure
Analyze and resolve work problems, assist employees in solving work problems
Maintain confidential employee records
Ensure accuracy in all transactions entered into the human resource information systems, complete regular audits of departmental processes and follow up with issues and solutions
Compile and analyze data from various Human Resources systems
Participate in community related human resources partnerships
Participate and/or lead special projects partnering with other departments/locations on projects as assigned
Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
Perform other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience plus three (3) years' experience in Human Resources or a related field
PHR certification preferred
Knowledge of HR processes and administration procedures
Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
Experience using Human Resources Information System (HRIS) system, (PeopleSoft or Work Day preferred)
Experience and ability to use MS Office software, including but not limited to; Access, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to operate in fast paced environment required
Must be detail oriented with good follow-up skills
Ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
