Job Description

Provide business office clerical assistance for the Human Resources Department by performing the following duties. The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
Processes/Maintains Records :
utilizes computer programs designed to keep employee and other department records; coordinates with and assists other department users as necessary; scans employment and personnel documentation into system; enters data into computer database. Serves as backup to
Human Resources Generalist :
answers multi-line telephone; greets persons entering department, assisting or directing to appropriate person. Administration duties : processes ID badges for new, promoted, and transferred employees; provides clerical support to department personnel as needed; opens and distributes departmental mail; performs or participates in special assignments under the guidance of department personnel. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The supervisor makes assignments by defining objectives, priorities, and deadlines; and assists employee with unusual situations, which do not have clear precedents. The employee plans and carries out the successive steps and handles problems and deviations in the work assignment in accordance with instructions, policies, previous training, or accepted practices in the occupation. Completed work is usually evaluated for technical soundness, appropriateness, and conformity to policy and requirements. The methods used in arriving at the end results are not usually reviewed in detail.
