HR Assistant Today'sHR Burbank, CA Job Details $20 - $23 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Research Full Job Description The Human Resources Admin Assistant assists the members of the Client Services/Human Resources department by processing work associated with human resource and customer service-related functions including, but not limited to: reporting and responding to basic policy questions from clients. This role will interact with clients, client employees, third party vendors, and attorneys as well as all levels of personnel within the organization. Essential Job Functions Assists the Client Service Department with the overall administrative tasks of the department. Provides troubleshooting and training assistance to client and client employees for onboarding and HRIS software. Conducts and process employee background checks for clients as requested. Administers client correspondence as directed by human resources representative including but not limited to employee handbooks, client related memos and letters, leave of absence letters, completion of new hire packets, etc. Provides assistance with unemployment and state disability insurances responses. Administers and tracks of leave of absences as directed by human resources representative. Assists and attends unemployment insurance hearings as directed. Assists with verification of employment for all clients. Assists in the research and development of policies and procedures. Compiles and coordinates reports for clients as required Assists with various projects including, but not limited to, wage and hour posters, personnel file audits, etc. Compiles personnel records as appropriate for related agencies and subpoenas as required. Responsible for updating employee profile for missing, changing and expiring data Assists human resources representative with employee meetings/investigations. Research on routine employment practices as they relate to issues and matters that arise from assigned clients. Other duties as assigned. Education/Certifications Associate's degree and/or 2+ years of job-related experience Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Proven ability to utilize and develop computerized spreadsheets and word processing applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent customer services skills. Ability to manage time effectively. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work, develop, and maintain cooperative working relationships in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
