Human Resources Coordinator

About the Role Stars Therapy Services is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and professional Human Resources Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This is a hands-on HR position with a strong focus on talent acquisition, recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and HR operations. The HR Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Human Resources and will be responsible for helping ensure that recruiting and day-to-day HR processes are completed accurately, professionally, and on time. The ideal candidate takes ownership of assignments, communicates proactively, exercises sound judgment, and follows matters through to completion without requiring continuous direction. This position also represents Stars Therapy Services in the community and will attend career fairs, recruiting events, college and university events, and other community outreach activities. Some local and occasional regional travel is required. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Manage job postings across Indeed and other recruiting platforms. Review and screen applicants for open positions. Conduct initial candidate phone screens. Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers. Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process. Track candidates through each stage of the recruitment process. Assist with offer letters, preemployment requirements, background checks, and onboarding. Maintain recruiting reports and provide updates regarding open positions, candidate pipelines, and hiring activity. Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for frequently recruited positions. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and recruiting priorities. Identify new recruiting sources and outreach opportunities. Represent Stars Therapy Services at job fairs, career fairs, college recruiting events, community events, and other talentacquisition activities. Build relationships with colleges, universities, community organizations, and other potential recruiting partners. Assist with coordinating and promoting recruiting events. Some local and regional travel is required based on recruiting and organizational needs. New Hire Onboarding Coordinate newhire onboarding and New Hire Orientation. Prepare onboarding materials and ensure required documentation is completed. Assist new employees with onboarding questions and HR processes. Coordinate required training assignments and monitor completion. Ensure onboarding activities remain organized, engaging, and consistent with company expectations. Follow up on outstanding newhire documentation and requirements. HR Operations & Employee Support Serve as an initial point of contact for routine employee HR questions. Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records. Process employee status changes and other HR documentation. Assist with HRIS data entry and employee record maintenance. Support timekeeping and payrollreadiness processes. Track attendance, timeoff requests, and other HR information as assigned. Assist with benefitsrelated employee questions and administrative processes. Prepare employee letters, forms, reports, and HR communications. Support HR audits and compliance projects. Assist the Director of Human Resources with employeerelations documentation and other HR matters as appropriate. Maintain confidentiality when handling employee and company information. Complete assigned HR projects accurately and within established deadlines. What We're Looking For 23 years of Human Resources, recruiting, or talentacquisition experience preferred. Previous experience screening applicants and coordinating interviews. Experience with Indeed or similar applicanttracking/recruiting platforms. Strong organizational and followthrough skills. Excellent verbal and written communication. Professional and confident when interacting with candidates, employees, managers, and external community partners. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment. Strong attention to detail. Sound judgment and ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated. Ability to work independently while remaining part of a collaborative HR team. Comfortable speaking with candidates and representing the organization at recruiting events. Strong computer skills and ability to learn HRIS, payroll, and recruiting systems. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for required recruiting events and business travel. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or a related field. HR certification such as aPHR Preferred. Previous HR or recruiting experience. Experience attending career fairs, college recruiting events, or community outreach events. What Success Looks Like The successful HR Coordinator will: Take ownership of recruiting assignments and follow candidates through the entire hiring process. Stay ahead of open positions rather than waiting to be reminded. Communicate proactively with candidates, hiring managers, and HR leadership. Maintain an organized and active candidate pipeline. Represent Stars Therapy Services professionally at recruiting and community events. Follow established HR procedures and leadership direction consistently. Complete assignments accurately and on time. Recognize problems, gather the necessary information, and bring forward possible solutions. Demonstrate professionalism, discretion, accountability, and reliability. Know when to act independently and when an issue should be escalated to the Director of Human Resources. Schedule & Travel This is a full-time, in-person position, generally Monday through Friday. The position requires attendance at recruiting events, career fairs, college and university events, and other community outreach activities. Some local and occasional regional travel is required. Occasional early morning, evening, or other schedule adjustments may be necessary to attend recruiting events or meet operational needs. Compensation $24.00-$26.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience.
