SUMMARY:
The Senior Human Resources Coordinator is a highly impactful role that helps drive Human Resources Operations, Employee Relations support, Leave Administration, compliance, and workforce reporting across the organization. As a trusted resource for employees, managers, and HR leaders, this position plays a critical role in delivering exceptional employee support while ensuring operational excellence and compliance. This role supports leave administration, employee relations, HR reporting, compliance, employment verifications, garnishments, and employee records management. The Senior Human Resources Coordinator partners closely with HR leaders, support groups, and operational leaders to provide efficient, compliant, and employee-focused HR services that support both the workforce and business objectives. In addition, this position serves as a backup for benefits deduction administration and setup and contributes to HR process improvements, compliance efforts, and special projects that enhance the employee experience and strengthen organizational effectiveness. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leave of Absence Administration Support the coordination of leave requests from initiation through return to work. Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers regarding leave administration. Coordinate with payroll, managers, and third-party administrators regarding leave and disability claims. Track leave utilization, certification deadlines, return-to-work dates, and required documentation. Maintain accurate leave records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Coordinate fitness-for-duty certifications and return-to-work documentation. Process SDI and PFL claims. Employee Relations Support Support Employee Relations case management and documentation processes. Assist with employee complaint intake, documentation gathering, and case administration. Track employee relations trends, cases, and related metrics. Prepare case summaries, timelines, reports, and supporting documentation as requested. Support workplace investigations and employee relations initiatives. Compliance Support & Other HR Administration Maintain tracking for required employee training, certifications, licenses, and other compliance-related requirements. Administer wage garnishments, levies, child support orders, and income withholding orders. Coordinate with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate garnishment processing. Process and respond to Verification of Employment (VOE) requests. Assist with unemployment claims administration and responses as needed. Maintain employee personnel files, HR records, and documentation in accordance with company record retention requirements. Support document retention and records management processes. Assist with document collection, audits, legal requests, regulatory inquiries, and compliance-related reporting. Support HR compliance initiatives, internal audits, and employment law compliance activities. Assist with special HR projects, departmental initiatives, and process improvement efforts as assigned. Benefits Administration Support Serve as backup support for benefits deduction setup and administration. Assist with benefit deduction audits and issue resolution. Support annual open enrollment activities as needed. Employee Support & HR Service Delivery Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs. Respond to employee inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Support employee communications and HR initiatives. Participate in process improvement efforts designed to enhance HR service delivery and employee experience.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is a plus. 3-5 years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience. Experience administering Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, SDI, and PFL. Experience supporting Employee Relations processes and case administration. Experience with garnishments, unemployment claims, employment verifications, and HR compliance activities. Experience preparing HR reports, metrics, and workforce analytics. Dayforce HRIS experience preferred. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, reporting, and data analysis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of Human Resources operations and including California employment law compliance. Working knowledge of California leave administration, disability claims, and accommodation processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong analytical and reporting capabilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. PAY TRANSPARENCY
The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
