Job Description

Job Summary Pleasant Valley Farms is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and organized HR Representative / Administrative Support to assist with daily HR and administrative activities. This position works closely with the HR Manager to support the recruitment and hiring process, employee onboarding and offboarding, employee records, and general HR administration. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, works well under pressure, and can manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

The position may also include general office support, projects, and other tasks as needed to meet the needs of the office. Job Responsibilities Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Recruitment, Hiring & Onboarding Assist with the full recruitment process, including posting job openings, reviewing applications and resumes, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews. Coordinate interviews with hiring managers and candidates. Prepare and organize new-hire paperwork and employment documents. Assist with background checks, I-9 verification, and other pre-employment requirements. Support new-hire orientation and provide information on company policies and procedures. Ensure all required onboarding documents are completed and properly filed. Employee Support & Offboarding Serve as a first point of contact for general employee HR questions and direct questions to the HR Manager as needed. Assist the HR Manager with employee concerns, policy questions, and workplace matters. Prepare termination and offboarding documents and assist with the employee separation process. Gather and maintain documentation related to employee matters as directed by the HR Manager. HR Administration & Records Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records and personnel files. Assist with benefits enrollment, leave documentation, workers' compensation paperwork, and employment verifications. Assist with HR audits, compliance requirements, reports, and routine HR correspondence. Support the HR Manager with filing, record organization, special projects, and other administrative duties as needed. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent; additional HR education or training is a plus. 1-2 years of experience in HR, administrative, or office support preferred. Bilingual (Spanish) required. Basic knowledge of HR practices and employment regulations. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with an HRIS or applicant tracking system (ATS) is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion. Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Schedule Regular business hours, Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary based on business needs. Occasional overtime or schedule adjustments may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods. Ability to use a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. Ability to frequently communicate in person, by phone, and electronically. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move office materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Pay:
$26.00 - $31.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
