Job Description
Solar Atmospheres is a leader in providing vacuum heat treating and brazing services of the highest possible quality. We are currently looking for a Human Resources/Accounting Assistant to join our busy administrative team in Fontana, CA. The position is onsite and work schedule is generally Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm. The ideal candidate should be reliable with a good work ethic, professional demeanor and a willingness to learn. Prior experience and exposure to payroll, plus human resources and accounting duties/responsibilities is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Manage and facilitate the new hire process from onboarding, completing new hire paperwork and orientation. Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for employees which includes verifying hours, processing payroll, reviewing reports and submitting payrolls to UKG. Review, manage and process employee time keeping and time off requests. Support the health plan enrollments for new hires, change of life events and open enrollment. Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory regulations concerning Human Resources related employment areas Help to complete projects related to compliance, auditing records, and maintaining employee records. Support the Controller by aiding with audits, setting up new vendors and collecting W-9's, plus certificates of insurance. Assist Controller as needed with accounting tasks related to A/P vouchering, plus processing ACH and check payments to vendors. Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Associates degree in Human Resources, Accounting or Business related field 2 or more years experience in an administrative, accounting or human resources support role Basic knowledge and understanding of human resources principles, practices and confidentiality requirements Reliable, organized and ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment Ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and obtain cooperation from others to see projects through to completion Effective oral and written communication skill and ability to make good judgement calls regarding what to communicate, how much, to whom and when Familiarity with accounts payables, accounts receivables and basic accounting tasks Experience using HRIS and payroll systems, UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) preferred Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) We offer an employee friendly work environment, plus good compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
