We are proud to be a debt free Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), serving seniors in South Orange County for 27 years. Our campus including Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing, has been completely remodeled. At this time, we are hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in Human Resources or a career change! Summary The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department and serves as a resource for employees and management. This position is responsible for recruitment support, onboarding, personnel file administration, compliance tracking, benefits administration, HR reporting, and employee support. The HR Coordinator must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment and Onboarding o Review applications and coordinate interviews. o Coordinate pre-employment requirements. o Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding. o Prepare and maintain new hire documentation and personnel files. o Order employee name badges and assist with onboarding activities. Employee Records and Compliance o Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee records and personnel files in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements. o Track licenses, certifications, CPR, First Aid, TB testing, and other compliance requirements. o Prepare and distribute monthly HR reports. o Conduct periodic audits of personnel files and employee records. Benefits Administration o Notify employees of benefit eligibility. o Assist employees with benefit enrollment and benefit-related questions. o Support annual open enrollment activities. Employee and Administrative Support o Assist employees with systems access, password resets, and routine HR questions. o Complete employment verifications. o Provide translation support for employees and management as needed. o Assist with workers' compensation intake and required documentation. o Support employee recognition programs, meetings, and special events. o Provide administrative and reception support as needed. Other Duties o Maintain strict confidentiality of employees and company information. o Complete special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required o Bilingual in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking) o Minimum one (1) year of administrative experience o Excellent verbal and written communication skills o Strong organizational and time-management skills o Strong attention to detail and accuracy o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel o Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion o Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities Preferred o Human Resources certification or coursework o Minimum one (1) year of Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, or related office experience o HRIS experience o Benefits administration experience Work Location In person, onsite Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. Ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, copier, and other standard office equipment for extended periods of time. Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone, and through electronic communication. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Ability to move throughout the community to attend meetings, orientations, training sessions, and employee events. Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance. Salary:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
DOE Schedule:
Tuesday through Saturday or Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays (full time) Offer of employment is contingent upon successful fingerprint clearance through Department of Justice, background check, physical exam, TB, drug screen.
