Job Description
We are looking for a bilingual Human Resources Coordinator who is fluent in Spanish and English to support HR operations for a food processing organization in California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who brings strong experience in recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and HR record management. The position will play a key role in creating a smooth hiring experience, maintaining compliance, and assisting employees with benefit-related questions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full front-end hiring process by evaluating applications, screening candidates, and helping move suitable talent through the recruitment pipeline.
- Arrange interviews and coordinate communication between candidates, hiring managers, and site leadership to keep hiring activities on schedule.
- Oversee pre-employment steps such as background-related requirements, testing appointments, and orientation planning to ensure timely onboarding.
- Monitor staffing needs on a regular basis and partner with operational leaders to identify openings and hiring priorities.
- Lead onboarding sessions for new employees, prepare orientation logistics, and ensure employment paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
- Enter and maintain employee information in the HRIS, including new employee data, while supporting accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
- Review work authorization documents and maintain I-9 compliance in accordance with company policy and legal standards.
- Explain workplace policies, required notices, and key procedures to new employees so they begin employment with clear expectations.
- Respond to employee questions regarding health, retirement, and wellness programs, and assist with benefits-related forms and disability documentation.
- Support recruiting events such as job fairs and maintain organized HR files and personnel records for ongoing compliance and audit readiness.
