Cienega seeks an HR/Payroll Specialist on-site at Paicines Ranch to help us complete our administrative team and focus on our holistic context with respect to our employees.- Comprehensive benefits package including medical & life, AD&D insurance

- Has an associate's degree in a related discipline and/or 3-5 years of human resources and payroll experience
- Is Bi-lingual - English and Spanish fluency required.
- Has experience with Paycom for HR and Payroll processing; Microsoft Word and Excel; Google Drive, Docs, Sheets; Docusign; and is tech savvy
- Has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
- Exceptional discretion and trustworthiness. Must possess the maturity to safeguard confidential HR information (e.g., compensation, investigations, medical records) and navigate workplace dynamics without compromising brand integrity and standards over personal loyalties
- Detail oriented both with text and numbers
- Excellent time management skills with attention to deadlines and has the ability to use initiative and independent judgement, work with interruptions and changing priorities, organize work and follow-up assignments
- Is able to discern if an issue requires escalation and is capable of completing the appropriate documentation to initiate the process.
- Serves as a guide to employees by handling questions, interpreting, and helping resolve work-related problems
- Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits
- Ensures accurate documentation of personnel changes and additions to employee files
- Manages all facets of the staffing process including the administration of pre-employment testing, processing background checks and e-verify, as well as scheduling interviews for potential candidates
- Plans and conducts new employee orientation and exit interviews
- Prepares, reviews and submits payroll each pay period. Performs benefit and payroll problem resolution
- Calculates annual COLA for employees
- Communicates and adheres to policies and procedures of the Company
- Oversees renewal of employee benefits - various benefit insurances, 401k plan, assists with workers comp audits etc.
- Facilitates training to employees for benefits enrollments, sexual harassment avoidance, customer service and related issues, and training for employees for use of Paycom to access employment related documents, timecards and payroll issues.
- Administers periodic employee review process
