Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Leave of Absence (LOA) Administrator to join our Human Resources team. This role is essential in managing employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and maintaining accurate records across various HR systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of leave policies, employment law, and HRIS platforms, enabling seamless administration of leave processes such as FMLA, workers' compensation, and other statutory leaves. Duties Administer employee leave programs including Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), workers' compensation, disability, and other statutory leaves, ensuring adherence to legal requirements. Manage leave requests through HR systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors, maintaining accurate data collection and documentation. Collaborate with employees, managers, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers to coordinate leave approvals and ensure smooth communication. Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws, HR legal standards, HIPAA regulations, and company policies related to leave management. Maintain confidential employee records while handling sensitive information with discretion and professionalism. Monitor leave balances, process payroll adjustments via payroll systems like UltiPro or Lawson, and ensure accurate payroll management. Generate regulatory reports related to leave entitlements and compliance requirements; support audits and data analysis efforts. Provide training and guidance on leave policies during employee orientation or development sessions. Assist in benefits administration related to health insurance coverage during leaves of absence. Support employee relations by addressing inquiries regarding leave policies and resolving issues efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in HR administration with a focus on leave management or related functions. Strong understanding of FMLA, workers' compensation laws, employment law, and HR legal compliance standards. Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle
HCM, SAP
SuccessFactors, or UltiPro; experience with Lawson is a plus. Familiarity with payroll systems including payroll management processes and benefits administration. Knowledge of health insurance policies and health-related regulatory requirements such as HIPAA. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels. Data analysis skills for reporting purposes; ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
