Reedley Position Summary The Human Resources Coordinator supports and coordinates daily Human Resources operations, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, personnel records, investigations, training, and compliance. The ideal candidate is highly organized, professional, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality while working with employees and management in a fast-paced transportation environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Recruiting & Hiring Coordinate applicant screening, interviews, and scheduling. Communicate with applicants throughout the hiring process. Assist with DOT drug testing, employment verification, and pre-employment requirements. Prepare new-hire paperwork and onboarding materials. Ensure required employment and driver documentation is complete. Employee Onboarding Coordinate and new-hire processing. Review company policies, procedures, and required forms with employees. Maintain accurate and complete electronic personnel files. Track required acknowledgments, training, and certifications. Employee Relations Assist the HR Manager with employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues. Document employee relations matters accurately and confidentially. Assist with disciplinary documentation, including written warnings and corrective actions. Participate in employee meetings and investigations. Assist with maintaining consistent application of company policies. Escalate significant or sensitive matters to the HR Manager. Investigations Assist with workplace investigations by gathering information, documentation, and employee statements. Maintain confidentiality throughout the investigation process. Prepare investigation notes and supporting documentation. Follow up with employees and supervisors as directed. Payroll and Attendance Coordinate time off and leave documentation. Communicate payroll issues with management and payroll providers. Ensure required documentation is submitted accurately and on time. HR Compliance & Recordkeeping Maintain confidential personnel files and electronic HR records. Assist with maintaining required employment and compliance records. Assist with DOT-related employee documentation and driver qualification records. Assist with drug and alcohol testing program documentation and Clearinghouse requirements. Assist with HR audits and compliance reviews. Track required licenses, certifications, training, and employee documentation. Training & Safety Support Coordinate and tracking employee training and required acknowledgments. Assist with maintaining training records. Assist with safety-related employee documentation and communications. General HR Administration Respond to employee questions and direct employees to the appropriate HR resource. Prepare HR correspondence, forms, notices, reports, and spreadsheets. Assist with leave administration, workers' compensation documentation, and employee records. Support the HR Manager with special projects and other HR duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; HR coursework preferred. Previous HR experience required Experience recruiting potential employees Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters. Ability to work independently and make appropriate decisions within established guidelines. Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Ability to learn and utilize HRIS, payroll, recruiting, and compliance systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or a similar fast-paced industry. Experience with employee relations Familiarity with
DOT/FMCSA
requirements. Experience with driver qualification files and Clearinghouse requirements. Experience with workers' compensation and leave administration. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally visit company yards or operating locations. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move around the workplace as needed. Ability to maintain regular attendance and work scheduled hours. May occasionally require additional hours to address urgent employee or operational matters. Confidentiality This position has access to confidential employee, payroll, medical/leave, disciplinary, and company information. The Human Resources Coordinator must maintain strict confidentiality and comply with company policies and applicable laws regarding employee information.
Pay:
$20.00 - $21.50 per hour
