Full Job Description Position Summary:
Under general supervision, assists in the daily operations of the People Department & Training functions for the Credit Union. Assumes some responsibility for HR in the absence of the People Manager. Performs administrative duties to be handled with confidentiality and discretion. Perform a wide variety of clerical, technical, administrative, and office duties supporting the Human Resources department including, but not limited to:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment Coordination Primary Responsibility for managing the recruiting processes, which include but are not limited to: Writing and/or reviewing Job Ads, Posting Job Ads, Screening Candidates, Scheduling Interviews with appropriate members of team, assisting w/ Interviews, and Attending Job Fairs. Primary Responsibility in onboarding new employees, conducting new hire orientation and backup for offboarding termed employees. Assists in the collection of documentation for new hires and ordering background checks through vendor. Human Resource Relations Primary Responsibility for managing job descriptions, including drafting, editing, and working with other managers / departments as needed. Administer company's Employee Engagement and Wellness Programs. Administer in the management of Employee Appraisal System and review processes. Responsible for the maintaining and organizing of electronic personnel files for employees. Assists in the updating of HR related policies and procedures. Assists in compiling information to managers for disciplinary action. Payroll Backup and ability to perform most in-house payroll functions. Respond to employee questions regarding Benefits, Payroll and Employee Handbook.Required Knowledge, Abilities, and Education:
1-3 years of experience in Human Resources Awareness of Federal and State labor laws and regulations or ability to use resources to obtain information. Maintains in depth knowledge of the company's HRIS systems. Strong oral and written communication skills, including listening skills. Ability to make effective public presentations.Computer literate:
ability to use Microsoft Office suite programs. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Able to make decisions independently and to manage multiple tasks. Able to work effectively with all levels within the organization. Attend regular departmental and company-wide meetings. Ability to perform other duties and related tasks as assigned. High school diplomaBeneficial Education and Experience:
Degree, advanced schooling, or specialized training desirable Knowledge of financial institutions a plus Bilingual (Spanish) helpfulPhysical Factors:
Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required. Corrected vision within the normal range. Hearing within normal range. Ability to lift 15 lbs. as may be required. Occasional movements throughout the department daily to interact with staff, accomplish tasks, etc.Pay:
