$20 to $24/hour DOE We are seeking a polished, professional, and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist / HR Administrative Assistant to serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, and callers while also providing administrative support to the Human Resources team. This role is ideal for someone who has strong customer service and communication skills but also enjoys administrative work and wants to support HR functions. The right candidate will be comfortable managing a busy front desk, handling a high volume of inbound calls, maintaining professionalism with employees and visitors, and assisting HR with day-to-day administrative responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Reception Serve as the first point of contact for employees, visitors, vendors, candidates, and other guests Answer and manage inbound telephone calls professionally and efficiently Route calls, take accurate messages, and assist callers with general questions Greet and direct visitors while maintaining a welcoming and professional front-office environment Notify appropriate employees of visitor and candidate arrivals Assist with incoming and outgoing mail, packages, deliveries, and correspondence Maintain an organized, polished, and professional reception area Assist with general office coordination and administrative requests HR Administrative Support Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Human Resources department Assist with new-hire paperwork, onboarding documents, and employee files Maintain and organize confidential personnel records and HR documentation Assist with data entry and updates within HR systems and employee records Support interview scheduling and candidate coordination Prepare, scan, file, and distribute HR documents Assist employees with basic HR questions and route more complex matters to the appropriate HR team member Support employee communications, forms, notices, and other HR correspondence Assist with tracking documents and following up with employees for missing information Provide administrative support for HR projects as needed Qualifications Previous experience in reception, front desk, administrative support, HR administration, customer service, or a similar role Professional and polished communication style Comfortable managing a high volume of inbound telephone calls Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with employees, executives, candidates, vendors, and visitors Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential employee and company information appropriately Comfortable balancing front-desk responsibilities with HR administrative assignments Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, data entry, and general office systems Dependable and able to work 100% onsite in South Gate, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Preferred Experience Previous administrative experience within a Human Resources department Employee onboarding and new-hire documentation Personnel file and records management HRIS or applicant tracking system experience Interview scheduling or recruiting coordination Experience supporting a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, furniture, or other high-volume employee environment Candidates With These Titles May Be a Strong Fit Front Desk Receptionist | Receptionist | Administrative Assistant | HR Administrative Assistant | HR Assistant | Human Resources Assistant | Office Assistant | Front Office Coordinator | Administrative Coordinator | Recruiting Coordinator | HR Coordinator
