This position provides essential administrative and technical support to the Human Resources Department while serving as a professional and helpful source to our employees and managers. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, costumer-focused and able to maintain confidentiality while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced resort environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative, clerical, technical, and office support to the Human Resources Department. Provide excellent customer service to employees, managers, candidates, and visitors in person and by telephone. Answer questions regarding Human Resources policies, procedures, benefits, and general employment matters. Lead employee-relations activities, including new hire orientation and employee recognition programs. Assist with preparation and distribution of employee benefits information and communications. Coordinate recruitment and candidate screening activities. Prepare Job annoucnement and advertisements and communicate applicaiton and emplyment status to candiates and management. Process personnel action forms and maintain accurate personnel recores. Coordinate post-offer pre-emloyment drug screening and other required employment screening. Maintain personnel files and records to ensure information is timely and accurate. Conduct initial new0hire orientaion and assist employees with completeing payroll and benefits documentiaon. handle confidential and sensative employee inofrmatiaon with a high degree of perofessionalism and discrestion. Looking For:
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. One to two years of related Human Resources or administrative experience. Previous hotel, resort, or hospitality experience is a plus. Working knowledge of Human Resources laws, regulations, and practices. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Acute attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Professional and effective communication skills in person, by phone, electronically, and with groups. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
