Job Description

Payroll Specialist We are looking for an efficient Payroll Specialist to undertake a variety of administrative duties with a focus in employee payroll, benefits, claims and other tasks. You will facilitate daily functions like Payroll processing, Employee credential compliance QA, keeping track of employees records and supporting the claim and compensation process. Your role involves performing tasks with a focus to manage our company's employee and improve our HR tactics. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of payroll process, IT skills as well as claim handling administrative responsibilities like Worker Comp and EDD. You will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of tasks and operations. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar using various software and tools. Ultimately, you should be able to contribute to the attainment of specific goals and results of the organization. Responsibilities Manage and process all payroll related activities Manage and process all employee claims and benefit related activities Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met Liaise with other departments or functions (scheduling etc.) Assist supervisors in claim and benefit management procedures Produce and submit reports on general payroll and benefits activity Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback Support other functions as assigned Skills Proven experience as a payroll processing specialist or relevant human resources/administrative position Knowledge of benefits and claim processes (EDD, etc.) and best practices Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular) Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle data with confidentiality Good organizational and time management skills Associate degree or additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus
