Job Type:
Full-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8-hour shift with a 30-minute meal period)
Pay Range:
$40,000.00 - $52,000.00 / year (Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with federal and Colorado law)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative Human Resources Coordinator to manage daily HR operations and help foster an empowering workplace culture.
Position Overview :
The Human Resources Coordinator handles day-to-day operations of the HR department, including personnel records management, benefits and leave administration, and general administrative support. Working under the direction of the Vice President of Finance and partnering with executive leadership, you will play a key role in candidate recruitment, onboarding, training tracking, and staff engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Administration & Records:
Maintain confidential employee files, health records, and general HR documentation in strict compliance with federal and Colorado record retention policies.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
Assist with online job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, background checks (FCRA / Chance to Compete Act compliant), DMV verification, and new hire orientations.
HRIS & Payroll:
Enter and maintain employee data in the HRIS/payroll platform and track position management data for monthly board reporting.
Benefits & Leave:
Coordinate health/benefit enrollment and annual open enrollment; process changes and terminations; support leave tracking under state programs (including
CO FAMLI
).
Employee Engagement & Development:
Organize staff engagement activities, coordinate all-staff monthly meeting agendas/logistics, and track completion of annual performance evaluations and required staff trainings.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Age & Driving Requirement:
Must be 21 years of age or older at time of hire (due to driving BGCPC or personal vehicles for organization business) with a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
Education & Experience:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred (relevant HR/office administration experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). 1-3 years of experience in human resources, office administration, or a related field.
Technical & Legal Knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and HRIS software. Working knowledge of Colorado employment laws (EPEWA, JAFA, FAMLI, Chance to Compete) and HIPAA regulations regarding employee health information.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, problem-solving skills, discretion with confidential information, and commitment to working in multicultural settings.
Language:
Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
Background Verification:
Successful completion of state fingerprinting and background checks post-offer.
Compensation & Benefits Package:
Base Salary Range:
$40,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year (non-exempt; overtime eligible). Starting wage is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
