Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources/Benefits Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations in the Bloomfield, Connecticut area. This opportunity is well suited for someone who enjoys balancing administrative coordination with data-driven reporting in a fast-paced environment. The position will contribute to onboarding, benefits support, and payroll-related documentation while helping maintain accurate employee records across HR systems.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate onboarding activities by preparing employment documents, tracking completion of required forms, and helping ensure a smooth start for new hires.
- Maintain and update employee information in HR systems, ensuring records related to payroll, benefits, and personnel changes remain accurate and current.
- Support benefits administration by assisting with enrollments, status updates, and employee inquiries while keeping related documentation organized.
- Run recurring and ad hoc reports on workforce metrics, including headcount data, and help present findings in clear monthly summaries.
- Use Excel to organize, analyze, and validate HR data for reporting, audits, and administrative follow-up.
- Assist with pre-employment processing for all candidates and other hiring steps to help keep activities on schedule.
- Provide general HR administrative support for employee relations matters, internal documentation, and department workflows.
- Partner with team members on payroll-related paperwork and system-based tasks to help maintain timely and compliant processing.
