00/hr Customer Service Officer (during D-Class) After credentialing $18.65/hr Credentialed Security Officer About the role TSS is hiring part-time Customer Service Officers to support maritime and cruise terminal operations in a federally regulated port environment under the Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA). This role blends access control duties with hands-on customer service — no security background required to apply. No Class D Security License yet? No problem. As part of this position, eligible candidates complete the state-required 40-hour Class D Security Officer Licensing Course at no cost, then advance to credentialed pay upon completion. What you'll do Verify credentials — TWIC cards, passports, driver's licenses, and company IDs Monitor gates, doors, and restricted access areas Communicate via two-way radio and written incident reports Provide professional customer service to passengers, crew, and vendors Identify and escalate safety or security concerns Safeguard Sensitive Security Information (SSI) Required licensing course As a condition of this role, candidates without an active Class D Security License must complete a 40-hour training course, provided at no cost by TSS. Course start Tues, July 14-Sat, July 18 Daily hours 7:00 am

Missing any portion of the course will result in removal from the program. Spots are limited — apply early to secure your seat. TWIC card required before training begins You must have an active TWIC card or official TWIC enrollment receipt to attend the July course. Applicants are responsible for obtaining this credential.
