Human Resources is a key member of our team as our organization continues to grow and develop a strong and engaged workforce. We are recruiting for a passionate and experienced full-time Human Resources Coordinator to join our skilled team. This essential role reports into the Administrator and is a strategic partner with all levels of leadership. A strong candidate for this role will be an HR professional who is described as detailed-oriented, proactive, process-focused, works well independently and as a team player, and has a passion for supporting the organization with strong HR practices. A glimpse into the job responsibilities: First point of contact for all HR, payroll, and benefit related questions. Works closely with facility Administrator and leadership team on HR initiatives. Conduct full-cycle recruitment on
Smartlinx ATS:
posting ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates.
Support on-boarding and off-boarding processes:
preparation of offer letters, new hire orientation, and exit interviews. Assist in administering employee benefit programs, answering employee questions, and liaison with benefit contacts. Process monthly benefit invoices, including but not limited to auditing invoices and reconciling. Handle employee relations and internal investigations, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate parties. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies, including The Joint Commission, Florida Department of Health, and Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). Conduct full payroll-processing, including verifying timesheets and processing bi-weekly payroll. Process leave requests include PTO, FMLA, and Personal Leave of Absence. Manage Worker's Compensation including reporting all incidents to carrier. Process various required reporting such as CMS Payroll-Based Journal Staffing Hours, EEO-1 Annual Reporting, and OSHA Annual Reporting. Support the organization's learning and development program through the Learning Management System, Healthcare Academy, and competencies. Maintain accurate and up to date employee records in the HRIS system and personnel files, including managing staff professional licensures and CPR. We are looking for a qualified candidate with: Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources and payroll processing experience required. Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related field preferred. Experience working in a skilled nursing facility highly preferred. Experience with HR applications, such as benefit administration systems and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred. Smartlinx application experience preferred. Experience with surveys, such as The Joint Commission and Florida Department of Health highly preferred. Experience and knowledge of Florida Agency for Health Care Administration practices and regulations highly preferred. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within HR and employment law including leave laws. Self-starter with independent problem-solving skills. Skilled and confident working independently or as a team depending on task.
