Job Description

As Human Resources Assistant for the Foundation, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties pertaining to human resources management, training, support, business, finances, record keeping, programming and resource development of the Foundation, including Lotus House, Lotus House Thrift, Lotus Wellness Center and other initiatives of the Foundation on behalf of homeless and disadvantaged women, youth and children. Such responsibilities will include without limitation: 1. Assist with background screening, reference checking, on-boarding orientation and training, benefits assistance, enrollment and processing, and other personnel matters, in accordance with the Foundation's approved budgets and business plans, standards of care, policies and procedures, applicable laws, licenses and accreditation, and grant and contract requirements; 2. Assist with accurate, complete and timely financial processing of payroll and benefits, reporting, accounting, budgeting, processing, and record keeping for payroll and benefits, insurance coverage, vacation and personal/sick leave, FMLA, flex time as applicable, floating holidays, and COBRA, as well as employee files, background screening, resumes, references, licenses, certifications, trainings, annual reviews and other required documentation, in accordance with the Foundation's approved budgets and business plans, standards of care, policies and procedures, applicable laws, licenses and accreditation, and grant and contract requirements; 3. Assist with coordination of a wide range of trauma-informed training, professional education, licensing and certifications for Lotus House human resource team, including both staff and volunteers, as well as documenting, tracking and reporting requirements related thereto, in accordance with the Foundation's approved budgets and business plans, standards of care, policies and procedures, applicable licenses, laws and accreditation, and grant and contract requirements. Such training includes, but is not limited to, the Foundation's policies and procedures, employee manual, inclusivity policies, abuse reporting policies, disaster and emergency preparedness policies and procedures, standards of care and resource coordination guidelines, HIPAA training, professional trainings in CPP, PCIT, TFCBT, CBT and other therapeutic modalities and assessments, motivational interviewing, restorative justice, conflict prevention and intervention, basic mental health training, OSHA, safe food handler and food management trainings, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, customer service and hospitality skills, and other professional and safety trainings; 4. Assist staff in achieving the Foundation's standards of care and quality of operations, programs and services, and goals for continuous improvement, fostering a holistic, trauma-informed inclusive, respectful, nurturing and supportive shelter environment for high special needs women, youth and children and the Foundation's human resources team, in accordance with the Foundation's approved budgets and business plans, standards of care, policies and procedures, applicable laws, licenses and accreditation, and grant and contract requirements; and 5. Assist in maintaining the organizational status, permits, accreditations, qualifications and licenses of the Foundation and its subsidiaries in good standing, as relates to human resources; and assist in research, data collection and reporting, and preparation of grant submissions, presentations and reimbursement applications, for private and public funding sources, as relates to human resources, in accordance with the Foundation's standards of care, policies and procedures, applicable laws, licenses and accreditation, and grant and contract requirements. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Associates Degree human resources and 2 years of work experience.
HOURS:
40 hours per week.
SALARY RANGE
: $45,000 - $55,000
