Job Description
Representative Duties:
Assists with processing a variety of personnel documents and payroll actions including appointments, promotions, separations, terminations, within-grade-increases, and insurance elections. Assists with drafting vacancy and promotional announcements. Ensures that positions are advertised in accordance with the clerk's office procedures. Assists with creating job descriptions for new positions. Reviews applications and routes qualified applicants. Tracks employees' due dates for promotions, performance evaluations, and within-grade increases, and advises supervisors of the same. Provides new hires and separating employees with benefit paperwork and assists with any questions they may have. Provides information to employees about personnel-related forms, leave (including the Voluntary Leave Sharing Program), CSRS and FERS retirement, disability retirement (CSRS and FERS), workers' compensation, Federal Employees Health Insurance Program (FEHB), Federal Employees Group Life Insurance Program (FEGLI), and other personnel functions. Establishes and maintains a variety of personnel-related files, including individual personnel records and standard personnel and payroll forms. Processes interns and provides the paperwork needed. Receives, screens, and routes incoming mail directed to the Human Resources Department. Acts upon matters as authorized. Receives telephone calls and personal visitors. Answers routine inquiries and provides assistance to the public relating to employment in all court support units and judges' chambers. Maintains strict confidentiality of personnel information. Requirements include a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the above-listed duties of this position. Applicants should present a professional demeanor, be detail-oriented, analytical, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong office and organizational skills, and solid computer skills. Familiarization with Excel and Microsoft Word for Windows is preferred.Salary:

- Starting salary adjustments prioritize prior federal service, with some recognition of relevant work experience and prior salary history.
