Job Description
Are you a bilingual HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys being out on the floor rather than sitting behind a desk all day? Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in North Georgia, is looking for an HR & Safety Administrative Assistant to play a hands-on role supporting both employee needs and plant safety across multiple locations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is proactive, independent, organized, and comfortable taking ownership. You'll work closely with plant leadership, supervisors, and employees to identify safety opportunities, coordinate training, maintain compliance records, and provide support with HR-related activities.
Partner with Plant Managers and leadership to address safety issues and track corrective actions through completion.
Conduct monthly checks of first aid cabinets, safety binders, panels, and other safety-related resources.
Coordinate and administer safety training, including forklift and other required certifications.
Track employee certifications and proactively communicate upcoming expiration dates to supervisors.
Coordinate plant-wide training initiatives, including dock safety and other specialized programs.
Maintain accurate training and certification records
Provide occasional English/Spanish interpretation for employees, supervisors, and plant leadership.
Translate HR documents and other employee communications as needed.
Partner with the HR team and plant leadership on various employee-related initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bilingual English/Spanish skills — required, including the ability to communicate and translate effectively in both languages.
Experience in HR, safety, manufacturing, compliance, or a related administrative role.
A strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize competing needs.
A proactive mindset with the initiative to identify problems and opportunities for improvement.
Excellent organization and follow-through, particularly when tracking issues, training, certifications, and deadlines.
The ability to build positive working relationships with plant managers, supervisors, and employees.
Comfort working on the manufacturing floor and interacting with employees at all levels.
