Job Description

HR Clerk About the Role We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented HR Clerk to provide administrative support to the Human Resources department at a busy manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on HR support role that involves assisting employees and management with day-to-day HR needs, maintaining employee records, supporting onboarding and recruiting, and assisting with timekeeping and attendance processes. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to communicate effectively with employees at all levels. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records Assist with new-hire paperwork, onboarding, and orientation Update employee information in HR and timekeeping systems Assist with I-9s, employment verifications, benefits, and employee changes Support employee attendance, PTO, and timekeeping processes Prepare HR forms, letters, reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation Assist with recruiting activities, job postings, and employee communications Maintain training records and assist with HR audits and compliance activities Provide professional and responsive customer service to employees and management Answer phones and respond to routine employee questions Work closely with supervisors and managers to support day-to-day HR needs Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous HR, Human Resources Assistant, HR Clerk, administrative, or clerical experience in a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent required Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Ability to learn and work with HR, payroll, and timekeeping systems Manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and managers Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required Physical & Work Environment Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods Ability to answer phones and operate standard office equipment Ability to lift up to 20 pounds and reach overhead Ability to climb stairs Position may require standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting Work environment includes an industrial manufacturing facility, including exposure to plant noise and varying temperatures Reasonable accommodations may be available for qualified individuals with disabilities IND2
