Looking for a reliable, fun, and flexible part-time job with paid time off? Look no further! Iowa Western Community College is hiring an HR Assistant for our Council Bluffs location. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking flexible daytime hours or a rewarding part-time role.
Duties Include:
Provide administrative support to the HR team Greet guests, answer phones Help coordinate onboarding and new hire paperwork Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy and confidentiality Assist with training coordination and tracking Perform general office and HR-related tasks as needed

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred Previous administrative or office experience required; HR experience a plus Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems a plus Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, filing, and operating office equipment Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching Ability to lift and carry up to 15-20 pounds (e.g., files, office supplies) Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via electronic means Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities perform the essential functions
