Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations across talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance management. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help foster a positive workplace environment and contribute to the strategic growth of our organization. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your HR expertise within a collaborative and fast-paced setting. Duties Assist with talent acquisition processes, including sourcing candidates through HR systems, and supporting interview scheduling and candidate communication. Facilitate employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated effectively into the organization. Support employee evaluation and performance management initiatives by collecting data, preparing reports, and coordinating review sessions. Manage benefits administration tasks, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries related to health plans, retirement options, and other employee benefits. Maintain accurate personnel records while handling confidential information with integrity and discretion. Assist in compliance activities such as affirmative action planning, OSHA regulations adherence, and employment law documentation. Support HR projects related to workforce management, organizational design, succession planning, and training & development programs. Requirements Proven experience in an HR department or human resources support role. Strong understanding of employment & labor law, FMLA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and HR legal compliance standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel for data analysis—and experience with HRIS platforms is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information professionally and maintain confidentiality at all times. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to adapt quickly to change management initiatives while supporting organizational development efforts. Previous experience with payroll processing tools such as Paylocity is advantageous but not required. Pay:
$24.00 - $26.00 per hour
