Blue Line Security Solutions is hiring a Scheduling Manager to oversee officer coverage across our client sites. This role owns the master schedule — building it, protecting it, and fixing it when things go sideways at 2 a.m. You'll work side by side with our operations Managers and field supervisors to make sure every post is filled by a properly licensed officer, every day. This is a fast-moving, people-heavy role. If you're organized, calm under pressure, and good at getting people to pick up a shift they didn't plan on, you'll do well here.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Build, publish, and maintain schedules for all assigned client sites, including 24/7 and multi-shift accounts Fill open shifts, call-offs, and no-shows quickly to maintain 100% post coverage Monitor and control overtime; identify recurring coverage gaps and recommend staffing fixes Verify that every scheduled officer holds a current PERC (and FOID/Firearm Control Card where the post requires it) plus any site-specific training before they're placed Coordinate daily with Operations Managers, field supervisors, and account managers on coverage changes, new starts, and client requests Maintain accurate time and attendance records and resolve punch discrepancies ahead of each payroll close Track and report on fill rate, overtime, unbilled hours, and turnover trends for leadership Support onboarding by scheduling new officers into training and initial post assignments Serve in an after-hours on-call rotation for urgent coverage issues Supervise and develop scheduling/dispatch staff as the team grows Partner with HR on attendance documentation, availability changes, and leave-related coverage
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or GED 3+ years of scheduling, dispatch, or workforce coordination experience in a 24/7 environment (security, staffing, healthcare, logistics, or similar) Proven ability to manage high-volume schedules across multiple locations Strong proficiency with scheduling/workforce management software and Microsoft Excel Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable making a high volume of calls and texts Sound judgment under time pressure and the ability to hold people accountable professionally Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Availability for occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage needs
Preferred:
Associate or bachelor's degree in business, criminal justice, or a related field Prior experience in contract security or guard services 1-2 years supervising a scheduling or administrative team Active Illinois PERC Bilingual (English/Spanish)
