The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Senior Human Resources Coordinator. Under general direction, this position will serve as a team leader on special projects and in day to day functioning of the Transactions Unit. The position will review personnel transactions completed by Human Resources Representatives and provide leadership and guidance on difficult assignments, while serving as liaison with the CMS Transactions Unit, CMS Examining, and the DCFS Payroll Unit. This position provides a great opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented person who is interested in ensuring that personnel activities are performed in an efficient manner to effectively support the Department’s operations. DCFS offers a competitive compensation plan, excellent benefits, and a pension program. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent organizational skills and strong leadership skills. We invite you to join our innovative team to help make a positive difference in the lives of the children and families of Illinois.Essential Functions:
Serves as Senior Human Resources Coordinator in the Springfield Office of Employee Services Informs agency staff of promotional policies Serves as liaison with the CMS Transactions Unit, CMS Examining, and the DCFS Payroll Unit regarding transactions in assigned area Answers technical and general inquiries from agency staff and employees regarding CMS Rules, Pay Plan, collective bargaining contracts, payroll discrepancies, etc., in coordination with collective bargaining agreements and the Payroll Unit In response to grievances, arbitrations, EEO / DHR complaints, etc., researches information from a variety of sources to prepare written responses Serves as a designated trainer of new staff within the Transactions Unit and personnel liaisons assigned to specific divisions or regions Monitors to ensure that posting notices for vacant positions are posted in accordance To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker accountBenefits
