Job Description

HR Assistant / Workforce Scheduling Coordinator Kansas City, KS | On-Site | 6-Month Contract | $24.45/hour
Schedule:
40 hours/week | 10:00 AM-6:00
PM Training:
6:00 AM-2:00 PM or 2:00 PM-10:00 PM Our client is seeking an HR Assistant / Workforce Scheduling Coordinator to support employee scheduling and workforce administration within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will coordinate hourly employee schedules, attendance, time off, training, and daily staffing needs while working closely with plant supervisors and employees. Key Focus Workforce Scheduling | HR Support | Attendance | Hourly Employees | Manufacturing | Excel | SAP/Kronos/Indeavor What You'll Do Develop and maintain employee schedules based on production needs, availability, qualifications, and staffing requirements Coordinate staffing for vacations, leaves, training, company functions, and unscheduled absences Adjust staffing and crew schedules as production requirements change Partner with supervisors and operations teams to address daily staffing needs Prepare and distribute daily crew sheets and workforce schedules Enter and maintain employee attendance and scheduling information Prepare reports related to hours worked, absenteeism, overtime, attendance, and workforce trends Maintain accurate employee, scheduling, attendance, and training documentation Assist with scheduling questions, workforce projects, and employee-related information gathering Support training coordination and other hourly workforce activities Follow company policies, collective bargaining requirements, and applicable plant procedures What We're Looking For High School Diploma or GED 2-3 years of professional scheduling experience Experience supporting hourly employees or shift-based operations Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail Ability to respond quickly to changing staffing and production needs Strong Microsoft Excel skills Manufacturing, plant, or production environment experience preferred Experience scheduling union-represented employees or working with collective bargaining agreements is a plus Experience with SAP, Kronos, and/or Indeavor is a plus Similar backgrounds may include: HR Assistant, Workforce Scheduling Coordinator, Crew Scheduler, Workforce Scheduler, Labor Scheduler, Staffing Coordinator, or Workforce Coordinator.
Pay:
Up to $24.45 per hour
