POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the Human Resources department, delivering front-line operational support and exceptional customer service in a high-volume healthcare environment serving more than 2,600 employees across the Salina Regional Health Center (SRHC) health system. This position manages a high volume of phone calls, emails, walk-in inquiries, electronic requests, and employee support needs while providing first-level support for Human Resources and Total Rewards services. Working collaboratively with the HR and Payroll teams, the coordinator delivers timely, accurate, and consistent service while supporting efficient HR operations and an exceptional employee experience. Success in this role requires exceptional customer service, sound judgment, strong organizational skills, adaptability, and the ability to quickly develop working knowledge of Human Resources, benefits, payroll, HR technology, and applicable employment laws.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field Minimum Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a high-volume customer service, administrative, Human Resources, payroll, benefits, healthcare, or related office environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex Human Resources information in a clear, professional, and customer-focused manner. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain strict confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees, leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn, effectively utilize, and maintain proficiency in multiple software applications, business systems, web-based platforms, and third-party vendor systems while adapting to evolving technology, software enhancements, and changing business needs. Ability to develop and apply a working knowledge of Human Resources operations, Total Rewards programs, HR technology, payroll processes, organizational policies, and applicable employment laws. Demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and continuous improvement mindset.
