Overview Join our client's Human Resources team as a temporary HR/Benefits Coordinator and become a vital driver of organizational success! In this temporary role, you will coordinate a wide range of HR functions, ensuring seamless talent management, compliance, benefits administration, and employee engagement. You will serve as a key point of contact for HR initiatives, fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting strategic workforce planning. The HR Clerk will support various HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of recruitment, onboarding, and personnel management processes.
Duties/Responsibilities Recruitment Support:
Assist with the recruitment process by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with applicants. Maintain applicant tracking systems, ensuring candidate information is accurate and up-to-date. Assist with background checks, reference checks, and pre-employment screening processes.
Onboarding and Documentation :
Originate and manage onboarding documents. Enter onboarding information into the CEO system. Ensure all new hire documents, including the New Hire Packet and Benefits Package, are completed and uploaded to the digital file. Send "Welcome" emails to new hires. Facilitate the creation of new hire evaluations in TalentEd. Verify that new hires complete Ethics/Safe School training and upload it to TalentEd. Assist new hires in securing an employment badge from the Technology Department. Enter new hire information into systems such as JCampus, Munis, TRSL/LSERS, and others as required.
Personnel and Record Management:
File and input personnel records into the Human Resource Data System. Verify employment and handle PSLF verification. Maintain and update digital files for all employees. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of new hire files using the provided checklist.
Administrative and Committee Support:
Serve as the secretary for the personnel committee, including scheduling and facilitating meetings. Schedule conference dates for HR-related events. Make requisitions and submit HR-related work order requests for the department.
Required Experience:
Proven experience in an HR department role with comprehensive knowledge of human resources management practices. Familiarity with employment law in talent management, regulatory compliance management, and HR legal standards is essential. Hands-on experience with HR systems such as Workday, UltiPro, Paychex, Kronos, or similar platforms is highly desirable. Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments and with external partners. Demonstrated ability in data collection and analysis using Excel or other analytical tools to support strategic decision-making. Prior experience in recruiting, personnel administration, benefits administration, and employee relations will be advantageous.
